Odeal continues his consistent run with the release of The Summer That Saved Me, his second EP of the year. Known for pairing personal storytelling with genre-blending production, this latest project offers a snapshot of a pivotal moment in his life.
The EP takes inspiration from Odeal finally receiving his British passport something he’d been waiting on since arriving in the UK as a child. It’s a moment that marks more than just travel rights; it’s about finally feeling a sense of belonging and freedom. That feeling runs throughout the seven-track project, both in the lyrics and in the sounds he explores.

Recorded between sessions in Spain and Los Angeles, the EP brings together a mix of Afrobeats, soul, R&B, and subtle Afro-Latin textures. It’s warm, thoughtful, and easy to keep on repeat perfect for the summer months it was made for.
Alongside the project, Odeal has also released a video for 'In The Chair,' a smooth, late-night jam that sets a relaxed, intimate tone.
The Summer That Saved Me feels like a personal release in more ways than one tapping into Odeal’s roots, growth, and his ever-evolving sound.
