Guchi's 'No Skips, Just Feelings' Feels Exactly Like Its Title

Guchi with vibrant purple hair and long braid poses with hands on face, wearing a white shirt and brown overalls. Purple background.

Guchi’s new EP No Skips, Just Feelings doesn’t overcomplicate things. It’s short, honest, and well-paced seven tracks that trace the shape of love, loss, clarity, and everything in between.

It opens with 'Your Type,' and the production does what it needs to - warm, textured, unbothered. The writing is simple, but sharp. It’s not about reinventing the sound; it’s about standing firm in it. That theme carries throughout the project. No theatrics, no emotional oversell.

Guchi with vibrant purple braided hair and colorful accessories, wearing purple eyeshadow, against a purple background, displays a confident expression.

'Butterfly' leans romantic but stays grounded. There’s no heavy lifting in the lyrics they glide. Then comes 'Tsunami,' which gives the EP its height. It’s bold but not chaotic. She knows the weight of desire and leans into it on this track in particular.

'Intentional' is the emotional reset. It sits in disappointment without dragging. Guchi writes with clarity here. She’s not asking to be heard she’s stating it plainly. You either get it or you don’t.

By the time we reach 'Choose You' and 'Final Bus Stop' there’s a sense of resolution. It’s not a fairytale ending, but there’s peace in it. You can feel the growth in this one.

What works best is that Guchi doesn’t try to frame this as a grand moment. There’s restraint in both the songwriting and the production. She’s consistent, not chasing highs or radio moments just telling it how it is. That’s where this project finds its strength in my opinion as we all just want to hear the stories from people that we can relate to.

No skips. No noise. Just feelings exactly as promised.
