Exploring Lounges in London: NINE Lounge.

Updated: Sep 23

I’ve always been that girl the one who’ll pick a shisha lounge over a club every single time. While everyone’s getting ready for a night out in heels and bodycon, I’m over here figuring out where I can catch a vibe, sip on a mocktail, and hear myself think. And honestly, doing this little series exploring lounges across London has been such a full-circle moment for me. My friends know: the second I land in a new city, I’m already on TikTok or Instagram scouting the best spots to go. Now I get to turn that obsession into something real. And this week’s find? NINE Lounge in Greenwich.

Tucked away on the ninth floor of the Radisson Red, Nine Lounge is literally a hidden gem in the sky. You step out of the lift, and boom panoramic views of East London that make you pause before you even sit down. It’s the kind of view that makes you want to stay awhile.

The vibe here is all about calm luxury. No chaos, no crowding just sleek interiors, soft lighting, and a layout that makes you feel like you’re on a rooftop in another country. It’s elegant without trying too hard. The space was clearly designed for comfort and ambience, and the shisha terrace? Unreal. It feels like a proper escape from the city, even though you’re staring right at it.

Now, let’s talk food. Nine specialises in Japanese and Pan Asian cuisine with a fine dining edge. The executive chef, Paul Greening, has worked at spots like Novikov and Aqua, and it shows. The flavours are clean, refined, but still comforting. Everything is made using top-tier ingredients like halal Wagyu straight from Japan and Te Mana lamb flown in from New Zealand. This isn’t your average lounge menu. This is serious.

The drinks? It’s an alcohol-free venue, which I actually love. Their mocktail game is strong beautifully crafted, not overly sweet, and paired perfectly with the food. You can tell there’s care in every detail.

It’s one of those places where everything just feels considered. The design, the food, the view, the vibe it all aligns. You can tell Nine Lounge isn’t trying to copy anyone else. It’s just doing its own thing really, really well.

So if you’re someone like me, always looking for your next favourite spot somewhere you can actually breathe, have a proper conversation, and still feel like you’re out? Add NINE Lounge to your list.
