There’s no London culture without the big red bus, and there’s no one who understands the top deck better than the internet’s favourite Bus Aunty, Bemi Orojuogun! Famed for her passion for London buses, Aunty Bemi became an overnight viral TikTok sensation and community hero for her wholesome content driven by her love for the city's big red icon!

Deliveroo is paying homage to this iconic London staple by launching Route R00 - a food map curated in partnership with Aunty Bemi designed to help Londoners navigate the city’s best independent, Afro-Caribbean diaspora eateries. The launch of Route R00 coincides with an important year in London’s history - the iconic Routemaster double decker bus has been a witness to the city’s changing face for 70 years, serving as the heartbeat of London’s roads since 1954. To celebrate seven decades of connecting neighbourhoods across the city, Deliveroo is also giving 70 Londoners the chance to bag a £70 voucher to spend at Route R00 food spots.

More than just a list of restaurants, Route R00 is a tribute to the places that keeps London’s high streets and local communities alive. Curated in partnership with Bemi, the route highlights some of her favourite authentic flavors that define the capital’s modern identity from spots including Original Flava, Alhaji and Deluxe Manna. Whether it’s the perfect patty found on a rainy afternoon, or the best Jollof south of the river, the route celebrates the ‘Bemi approved’ independent businesses that have been feeding communities for generations.

"Everyone knows the best way to see the real London is from the top deck of a bus," says Aunty Bemi. "Route R00 is about that same energy - finding those independent spots on Deliveroo that have been feeding the community for years. I’m so excited to show people my favourite gems and celebrate the heritage of our roads."

Jessica Markowski, Director London, Editions and Sales at Deliveroo, says: "London’s food culture is like no other. By partnering with Aunty Bemi and celebrating the Routemaster’s 70th year, we’re inviting Londoners to rediscover the city through the independent restaurants and cuisines that make every borough unique."
